Sightseeing in Corfu is one a great thing to do. By foot, by car, or on a tour, it’s something you cannot miss even if you’re staying in an all-inclusive resort. Save at least one day for this activity.
If you have decided to follow our advice, you can start by wandering in the cobbled streets of Corfu Old Town. Visit the British Palace of St. Michael and St. George, admire the impressive Venetian Old Fortress, and relax in Esplanade Square while you watch a cricket match. Corfu Town has several museums and the predominant church of St Spyridon, one of the main temples of Orthodox Christianity. After sightseeing in Corfu Town, you can enjoy a cool drink at the French-inspired Liston, an elegant arcade with cafeterias and restaurants. Don’t forget to visit Kanoni Peninsula and the Monastery of Vlacherna.

A great option is also buying a ticket for the Hop-On Hop-Off bus. This classic sightseeing choice has three different routes, and the price starts from 19 euros per person. It’s also very recommended for cruise ship travellers who haven’t got too much time on the island, or if you just want to be comfortably driven and guided in your language around the Old Town and its surroundings.
